Don't miss dinners for Darfur, fund raiser. The dinner will be at Olivet Baptist Church in Crytal, MN on Wed. March 28th at 5:30 pm. Hand made crafts available for sale. If you don't know much about what the UN has called "the worst humanitarian crisis in history" you should come to learn more about it and what you can do to help or google Darfur and find out. Then write to your congress person and Pray pray pray.

Joy-
I am confused. I read your messages and I even respond to them. Yet, I never see any comments back. Are you alive? Are you a sinister robot who has abducted Joy and kept her blog going as some sort of cruel joke? Where is she? Have you eaten her?
Hey Robot. Comment on my blog right now.
I'm alive, for a while, at least while spring break lasts. I have a simple relationship with God, I don't even think about many of the things you talk about, so I don't have answers, maybe a few thoughts, but most of the hings that you talk about are things that I have not taken the time to figure out. Most of the questions that I have do not have answers that can be found in the this world.
Sorry to confuse you friend, for a while I forgot my password and could not even sign in. Later Brother.
Joy- I am certainly very interested to find out more about the Darfur crisis. Here's something I've been thinking about though. I understand you are showing a graphic video during dinner, and will have graphic pictures up during dinner. Do you see any conflict here? I mean, I'm all for the graphic things. We gotta see them in order to even half way understand how horrible it is. But are we gonna have people puking all over the church dining room?
Frank- You left almost the same demanding message on Joy's blog as mine. I'm just pointing that out. You are a very demanding person.
I'm not against a puke-fest. That would be classic! Well....except if I have to clean it up, which I probably would. But we'd have a great story to tell for the rest of our lives. Did you ever see that River Phoenix movie "Stand By Me" where there's a huge community puke fest in the middle of an eating contest? Classic.
Well, I guess I turned the subject around on this blog post. I'll quit now.
we were asked, I mean told to take out the graphic pictures, the pictures that are still there are definately tollerable, sad but not going to make anyone throw up well at least immediately. Once it hits their heart maybe they will, and it will turn out to be exactly that scene I have seen many times in Stand By ME. My older brother watched that movie at least once a week growing up.
I was feeling like my previous comment was uncalled for, but thanks for your grace. I'm glad you know about the pukefest on SBM! It's gross.
Anyhow, the video that Brad made was awesome. I couldn't see it super well when they showed it on Sunday morning, but it was cool. I started crying, and I didn't even see anything super graphic, but again, maybe that's 'cuz I was not able to see the screen that well.
I've been hearing more on American news about Darfur, which is good. I mean, good that American's in general know about it.
I think the dinner went pretty good, however before the dinner there was some drama about what was going to be viewed... who knew that there would so much concern about it.... After I told Brad about some of the drama, he mentioned that the only people who should be exempt from seeing are those that don't have a TV or don't watch movies. So I hope the drama is over.... I had no idea it was such a big deal/ controversy, maybe some people should find something more productive to do with their time. I have more to say about this, but I don't want to.
