Taxes..... I had been doing taxes for free this past tax season.
How is it that there are new immigrants that receive free housing while there are homeless Americans sitting in the waiting room just seats away from the immigrants that get free food, clothes, medical insurance and housing?
Who decided this would be a good or ethical way to run America?
Is it possible to rectify this.... I'm not saying we should not care for immigrants, however the American people should be the first priority.... don't you think.
I didn't know this was how the system worked until this January... so I want to talk about it because I don't think you know about it either, or someone would do something to change the system.... really how can a new immigrant be given not just a house, but a new house while there are people that have lived and worked in the US, paid taxes, social security and they are now homeless possilby because of one missed paycheck. I had more than one taxpayer crying because they owed 9 to 18 dollars on their federal tax return, because they don't know how they are going to pay. While some of the immigrant families recieved 2000 to 14,000 in federal refund. Just thought you should know.

How can this be?
How can society just be satisfied to just live. Day to day not learning or seeking anything new.
How can this be?
We see homeless and turn as heads as though they are not there.
How can this be?
The elderly have to pay unbelievable amounts of money for minimal amounts of care.
How can this be?
We give nothing it's sanctitiy....marriage, our word, the truth, etc.
How can this be?
We live in the greatest country in the world and we hate it.
How can this be?
We do as little work as possible for as much pay as possible. The higher we go - the less work we do the more money we get.
How can this be?
What's ok you for does not have to be ok for me, what's truth for you is questionable for me.
How can this be?
85% of Americans are Christians and America is the way it is.
How can this be?
Thousands of Americans will not eat today.
How can this be?
How can this be all true in a country whose money reads "one nation under God"
Really I ask you...... How can this be??

Wow, I spoke about Birth mother's day in hopes to bring awareness yesterday at the church I attend. It was the most nerve racking experience I have had so far, I mean as far as speaking about my adoption experiences. After the service one of my friends from high school that has been attending the church for about a year stopped me to say, he had no idea that I had placed children for adoption. He was very gentle about it and I was glad to share it with him. I had crafted a few birth mother's day cards for people to take so they could give a birth mother they know a card for birth mother's day. I know one lady had adopted two children, so she wanted two cards for each of the birth mothers. I know it did bring awareness to the day. I hope that more birth mother's will be recognized this and in future years.

The last few weeks have been overflowing with interest in The Well. Which has been great, however I have not talked about being a birth mother this much before. It seems that people now know that I am open to talking about it that it is the topic of most conversations. I have also had women who want to talk about other things that are affecting their lives, that they know I can relate to, like a woman who just wants to talk about being a single mom and how difficult that can be, as well as women who just want a safe place to talk to other women about "life." I'm glad that I can be easily approached by all of these people. I'm looking forward to God blessing The Well and The Wellstone ministries this next month.

I've started a life group for Birth Mother's and Birth Grandmother's, my mom is leading the latter, The group meets on the third thursday of the month at 7pm, at Cornerstone Church in Crystal, Mn. We are open to all ages and all amounts of time since a Birthmother has placed her child for adoption. The Mission is to provide a physical place for healing and peace. This group is important to support and encourage women.

I spoke last Sunday at a Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN.
It was sanctity of Life Sunday across America, do you know what that means? It is a day to remember how important life is. It falls on the Sunday nearest the Row vs. Wade decision. When we decided it was ok for a mother to take the life of her child before it is born. When we decided it was ok for a woman to cause anguish to herself for the rest of her life. When we decided it was ok to eliminate a generation before it even had the chance to take it's first breath. 43 million abortions have taken place since we made this life devaluing decision.

Again, it has been a while since I last posted. It has been brought to my attention that I like most American's have put the crisis in Darfur to the back of my mind while I live my busy life. Filling my time with business that is not really beneficial to nearly anyone. Ok, that may be taking it a little far. Though when I think of Darfur I am overwhelmed and I don't really have much hope for it. I hate to say that out loud. I do have hope for the situation I just don't have much hope that America is going to help. We usually don't until it is too late.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

It's been a while, life has been busy and I have been wrapped up in my own so much. I have not spent much time with anyone outside of my home. So here I am sitting here waiting to get ready and go to work, thanks Jesus that I have work to go to, and I have finished my last class of college, tomorrow I graduate. It has finally hit me, I will have a degree, and I will have satisfied society, now I can do what I love and not be stopped by the fact that I did not have a degree for something I was much more qualified to do even with out the degree. Anyhow, you know me you already know what I am talking about. Nobody reads my blog anyway. So, here I sit exited to work and to begin plans for my real passion (after Mikayla, who is my first passion). It will be called Hands and Feet of Grace, and we will begin business in January. Even before we get the tax id number, because this is going to start as a ministry, and grow into what God has planned. Let the adventure begin! I work today and Thursday and then I'm off until Jan. 2nd. This will be a great vacation with Mikayla before the hard work begins.

Halloween- A Christian Celebration or is it A Pagan Ritual?
The origin of Halloween
Do you really believe the bible verse that says either for Christ or against him. There is no middle area. Matthew: 12:30 "He that is not with me is against me."
Halloween today is acknowledge to be nothing more than a pagan holiday, a celebration for the Religion Wica, or we pass it off as a fun time.
What if the 85% of America that claims to be Christian, acted on their Christian values and responsibility and stopped celebrating the Day set apart for Evil. Do you think the holiday would seize to exist, no, not at all, but I do think that it could save lives and souls. How will it save lives and souls, well the day is the largest holiday celebrated in America. The day is the largest holiday in the Wiccan religion. This is a day of slaughtering, "sacrificing," sometimes animals, sometimes human sacrifices are required. So is Halloween just a fun celebration? Will the holiday become bigger and bigger as History passes, or will we slow the progression? If we don't teach our children the true meaning, though through history the meaning has changed, we will be raising our children to honor a pagan holiday. What this day has become is more than SCARY.
Click on the underline links for more info.
I was in a hurry to get my thoughts down so sorry they are not eloquent, and are a mess.
Just think about the issue.

Why aren't you having sex? Seriously I want to know. Is it for religion sake? Is it to protect yourself from disease and unwanted pregnancy? Is it because your parents would kill you? Why is it?

Then answer this..... Why are so many people having sex for the fun of it?
Does Love really have anything to do with Sex? Is sex used for personal gain and nothing more? or payment for favors?

Why do we condemn the gay to hell for their actions yet we are clearly breaking God's law, if you read where it says homosexuals will NOT enter the kingdom of heaven it also says adulterers and thieves won't either. So while we are pointing fingers at the Gay people, maybe we should check ourselves. Premarital sex is the same if you are heterosexual or homosexual. They both are sin.

Offend the Musilms,

I dare you......

The Holocaust Museum in Europe was closed because it was offensive to the Muslims, who don't believe that it happened.

Note: THE Holocaust did happen, and if we don't remember it History will repeat itself, it always does. So if we do not make effort to stop history from repeating itself, what the.

HMMMM>>>>Over a million killed in the Holocaust by being gassed.

Hmmmm>>>

Darfur.................... Over 2.5 million displace, forced from there homes, 500 murdered each day.....

But let's be sure to no offend the Muslims.

Don't you think that the Jews are offended by this? What about them?

What is the most offensive thing I can say as an American? Wait for it......

If you are not a Christian, you are wrong.

Here it is. If you are a Muslim you are wrong. There is no heaven for you.

Be offended, then find the truth. There is one truth and it is found in Jesus. Everyone one else is wrong, there I go offending you again.

Hmmm.... Something to think about.

room for revision....

Thousands Protest Darfur Crisis

Associated Press

By JILL LAWLESS - Thousands of people protested outside Prime Minister Tony Blair's residence Sunday to demand decisive action against the violence in Darfur, holding up a 7-foot hourglass filled with artificial blood.

Protests were also held in the U.S., Israel and other countries on what campaigners designated a global day of action.

Protesters in London handed a letter to Gareth Thomas, a government minister with responsibility for international development, calling for the quick deployment of a strong peacekeeping force in Sudan's western region where a four-year war has killed more than 200,000 people and displaced more than 2.5 million.

The letter, addressed to Blair, urged the prime minister 'to use your influence to push the international community to call for action.'

'Time is running out for the people of Darfur, and we urge you to keep the pressure on the government of Sudan until there is an effective peacekeeping force on the ground protecting civilians,' the letter said.

Protesters carried signs saying 'time is up' and held small hourglasses, along with the giant one. Organizers said 3,500 people attended the rally. Police did not immediately have an estimate of the turnout.

The United States and Britain have been working on a proposal calling for sanctions against Sudan if it does not agree to the deployment of U.N. peacekeepers to help a beleaguered African Union force.

In Tel Aviv, Israelis lit candles during a demonstration. In Washington, actress Mia Farrow spoke to protesters in front of the White House, with a large sign reading 'Peace and Protection Now' in the background.

As part of the campaign, celebrities including Farrow, Elton John, Mick Jagger and George Clooney issued a statement Sunday calling for an end to the bloodshed and accusing the international community of failing to act.

'We have come together to say that time is up,' the statement said. 'The international community must end its stalling and take decisive action.'

Activists from across New England protested on Boston Common, a historic city park. Among the speakers were Darfur scholars and Massachusetts lawmakers pushing a bill that would require the state to divest from companies doing business in Sudan.

Last week, President Bush delivered a final warning to Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir that he must take concrete steps to halt bloodshed in Darfur or face tough new U.S. sanctions.

On Thursday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that he and al-Bashir had agreed that a new United Nations-African Union joint peacekeeping force should be deployed in the region quickly.

Al-Bashir agreed in November to a three-phase U.N. plan to strengthen the African Union force, but has delayed allowing its implementation.

Ethnic African rebels, complaining of neglect by the Arab-dominated central government, have been fighting the Sudanese army and the pro-government janjaweed militia in Darfur for the past four years, turning the region into the world's largest humanitarian disaster.

I want to let you all know the latest on the Darfur Crisis. 2.5 million have been displaced and AID groups are being forced out, this means more will die. It is stated that 200,000 have been killed since 2003 when the WAR ended.
There is something we can do.

Darfur-
Genocide - systematic and planned termination of an entire nation, race or ethnic group.
Janjaweed - translates to "Devils on Horseback" - the "Bad" guys - Arab Africans murdering and displacing Black Africans.
2 million Africans are now in refugee camps, dying daily because of Lack of food, the Janjaweed burn the "barns" food storage huts.
What can we do???
First of all we should pray.... The Janjaweed are murdering these people, most of the people are muslim, therefore the murder of these people is a sentence to Hell. So first of all we PRAY, we pray that God - TRUTH will be revealed to the people.
Next Educate yourself on the conflict. You can google: Darfur for tons of info, or watch videos on the crisis.
Finally, we write letters to the US Government.... Click here to find the address and email address of your representatives. Contact Congress
Again, Pray!

SO this was the last day of Spring Break, it's Friday. Today we got up late, then went for a two hour walk stopping to play at 2 parks along the way. Then we came home, ate freezies and hung out on the deck, I got sunburn on my cheeks. Then we took a shower and got ready to go to the Chiropractor, I just met last weekend and already "like" the guy a ton, he adjusted both Mk and me, and the headache that I have been having for the last few months is now gone. I told Mk that I really liked the Dr and she said we love the dr. Then we came home and played, read books, colored, rearranged mk's bedroom and then ate dinner and now we are playing a little more before bed. This was a great last day of spring break. Tomorrow will be a day for the personal Journal, I'm going to visit " the Boys" it's been almost 3 years since we have had an intentional vist. That's all I have to say about that.

Monday, March 19, 2007

On a lighter note, spring break just started and it is definately needed. I don't think that I have ever been so happy for a spring break when I'm not even going anywhere or doing anything. Just going to spend the next 5 days hanging out with Mk and finishing potty training, and maybe doing a few crafts. Don't forget to come to the Dinner for Darfur on Wed. the 28th.

The Crisis in Darfur has been on the News for 11 minutes if you combine all the stations together, Anna Nicole Smith has been on for over 1000 minutes, where are our priorities ? The worst Humanitarian Crisis in History - as classified by the UN, verses a blonde who I personally do not know what she added to the human race that will have a lasting impact or even the reason that she was popular.?

500 people are dying everyday, that is one person every 3 minutes. not just dying but being murdered, I heard a story from a boy that the Janjaweed came into his village and took the babies from the arms of their mothers and threw the boys into a pot of boiling water and sliced the throat of the girls. While the mothers could do nothing. The Janjaweed beat his bother and him with a stick and then hit him in the forhead with the butt of a gun, leaving him with a scar across his entire forehead. That is just one story, of one day in Nov. of 2006, we are still standing by doing nothing. What can we do to help? We are here and they are there. I asked a radio personality the other day if he has talked about Darfur on his program yet, he said no, then I asked why the media is spending so little time on Darfur, he told me that our resources are being spent elsewhere, why doesn't France do something about it, we can not get involoved with everything. The UN should be sending in the blue uniforms, thats what he said. I guess that is all I want to say about that because it gets my heart rate up just talking about how little we are doing.
Genocide - the systematic and planned extermination of an entire nation, race or ethnic group.
The US labeled this crisis genocide 2 years ago. The only genocide classified as genocide while it is still happening.

So be in anticipation to hear some of my frustration. what do the teens of today engage in??? DO you know, do you really care? Here are a few after school activities that today's teen might engage in. Cutting or marijuana, anorexia, tear selves apart in the mirror and more.

Do you see self confidence and happiness?

It seems that this blogging was a fad. Well I was too busy for a long time to take the time to blog. The last few have been out of anger and frustration and in seeking opinion and advise. So I wonder has it been a fad for all my blogging friends or are you all still blogging out there?

on a higher note. Thanksgiving was nice, It started last Saturday, and then continued on Thursday I mean and the party really has not stopped yet. Well I am sitting down to do some studying so maybe the party has ended. It was good to see family. How was your THanksGIVing? What are you thankful for? I am thankful for Jesus' love and guidance, grace and forgiveness. I am thankful for family who loves Jesus and for friends that are seeking truth. I am also thankful for health and Mikayla. The thanks goes on but I would love to hear from you.

First of all I am confused, then angry, mad, upset, bothered, frustrated, furious, and that's just to name a few. This is all in reguard to my previous post. I don't know what else to say... what is going to happen to a child whose parent will lie to the doctors in front of her teen to get the doctor to give the teen DRUGS. Is there anything to do.... is it anyones place to do anything... who can do anything? How are we, am I, going to help this sweet sweet teen? Please advise at will.

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

I emailed this to my brother today:
I work with highschool girls and well their parents keep putting them on drugs for depression, or suggesting it to them as the next thing that is going to happen if they don't "get happy" what the heck is up with that? And is that really necessary, is it a trend, why don't the parents just do their job and take care of their kids? Is there anything I can do to get them off the drugs, or talk to their parents about it. I don't know anything about this stuff. All I know is that it would be a last resort to put my kid on drugs. So I don't know why they are seemingly jumping at the oppertunity.

Thanksgiving is next week, though My family will be celebrating early, as usual, this Saturday. However much of my family is no longer accessable. I have 3 members in Africa, 2 members incarcerated, and many in other states. There is so much to be thankful for, I wonder why we only put one day a year aside to acknowledge these things.
