Can I just be really honest? ok I will since no one responded. What in the world are you suppose to do with a two year old for 12 hours a day? You know who you are, that this question is aimed too.
I'll take it that this is aimed at me. Sorry it took me so long to check in with you here.
That's a good question. If she's anything like mine, she would like to go places, see things. They definitely get bored quickly. I find that talking to them helps a lot. When you walk past pictures, stop and name all the people in the pics. When you go to the store or wherever, talk about what you see around you. Play toys with her for a little bit and talk about what you're playing. Reading little books or just looking at pictures in magazines is fun. Make sure each day she has time to use her "large motor skills", meaning climbing, swimming, running, stacking boxes, stuff like that. That way she'll get some of that seemingly endless energy burned off. She could also benefit from some alone time where she's playing by herself. Some people set aside a time for that. Also, a great thing to do is include her in activities like cleaning up and doing laundry. Jessi loves helping out.
Ok, those are my suggestions, but it doesn't necessarily mean that I do all that stuff all the time. I try to, but, you know, I'm not perfect.
I find that a little Jack Daniels in the sippy cup makes the day fly by.And give a little to the kid, too. Just kidding.
For real, I found it helped to just get out of the frickin' house once in a while.. go for a walk. She's trapped in the stroller, so you don't have to chase her around, and she's got a million things to look at, listen to, smell, etc. Plus, you get fresh air and exercise and a chance to hear yourself think.

Hang in there... you're doing a great job, Joy.
